Attaching a wooden headboard to an adjustable base varies by the type of base you have. Many bases feature adjustable legs to raise and lower the overall height of the mattress. The base often includes optional brackets to attach to a headboard. These brackets attach the same way that our standard siderails connect to the headboard.

King Size Headboard Dimensions

A standard king size mattress is 76 inches wide x 80 inches long. The size of a king headboard varies by the style that you choose. Most king size headboards are approximately 80-84 inches wide.

California king size mattresses are 72 inches wide x 84 inches long, perfect for tall people. A California king headboard is approximately 76-80 inches wide.
