We offer many different solid wood bed with upholstered headboard styles. The Hudson king-size Solid Wood Bed features a rustic Walnut wood frame with an upholstered headboard panel insert. The matching pieces in the Hudson bedroom set feature the same stunning Walnut wood.

Upholstered Bed with Storage Options

All wood bed frames with fabric headboards are available with an additional storage platform base. We offer three different storage platform layouts for your convenience. All options include a solid platform on top of the drawers to support your mattress. This eliminates the need for a box spring.

The first layout is the standard siderail drawer unit. This platform includes two drawers on each side of the bed, raised off the floor into the standard siderail. This platform base works with standard height and low-profile footboards.

Next, we offer a siderail and footboard drawer unit combo. Two drawers extend from the footboard, with an additional drawer on each side of the bed. All siderail and footboard drawer units feature a low-profile footboard.

Finally, we offer a deep to floor, siderail drawer unit. This platform base includes two, extra deep drawers on each side of the bed, extending all the way to the floor.

All drawers include durable drawer boxes with a dovetailed joint at the back and front of the drawer. This creates the strongest drawer possible. Sturdy drawer slides extend easily and quietly to reveal the full length of the drawer. Soft closing drawer slides are available upon request.

Like all Amish furniture, these wood and upholstered beds are available in a variety of solid hardwoods. Amish craftsmen use solid American hardwoods like Red or White Oak, Maple, Cherry, Hickory, Walnut and Elm wood. All wood options include a wide variety of stain or paint colors.

We recommend attaching your headboard only to the wall, which keeps the bed sturdy and solid. The bottom half attaches to the studs in your wall.
