We do our best to make sure we have standard style and size options for all types of homes and spaces. Each bar stool or bar chair option we offer, is available in a 24" seat height or 30" seat height. You will need 24" bar stools to pair with a standard 36" height table for behind the couch.

Most behind sofa bar tables fit around two or three stools. The smallest standard size we offer is about 54" wide, this size is best for compact seating with two stools. If you have a few more inches to spare, you can move to the 60" wide. This will also only accommodate two stools, however you will have a little more wiggle room.

The largest and most popular option we carry is the 72" wide. This comfortably fits two or three stools. If you have a three seat sofa, a 72" wide table will fit nicely behind it with a few inches to spare on each side. Majority of 72" behind sofa table with stool sets will have three stools for maximum seats.

The number of stools or chairs that you can fit in your bar table behind sofa also depends which option you choose. For example, our popular urban saddle bar stools have a width of 16". This will leave a few extra inches than if you choose our turnstone swivel bar chairs, with a width of 19". Most of our bar stool or bar chairs have a width somewhere between 16" to 20".

Another bar stool option, is the costa wood upholstered bar stool. This has a similar saddle top, however it has an upholstered fabric seat with beading around the edge.

The other direction to consider with bar seating behind sofa is bar height swivel chairs. For example, our turnstone swivel bar chairs are an excellent option, with a comfortable and supportive back. They are available in a 24" or 30" seat height, as well has a wooden seat or upholstered seat for added comfort. The upholstered option can be either a fabric seat or faux leather seat.
