The finish on Amish Cherry wood desks is a catalyzed conversion varnish. Catalyzed varnishes are thinner than common polyurethane products. Rather than brushing it on, we apply catalyzed varnishes by spray. The catalyst hardens as the finish dries and creates the best finish available for solid wood products.

This durable finish is waterproof and resistant to fading or yellowing with UV exposure. The varnish is heat resistant to 220 degrees, protecting against damage from your coffee cup or the heat from your components. We do not recommend wood conditioners or polishes. These products often leave a residue buildup on the finish and never actually penetrate the wood underneath.
